Hi Everyone
In order that we in the County Team can carry out the role that we have been appointed to, we need to start releasing our organising of activities for our various Sections, i.e. Monopoly Run, Various Camps, Days Away, etc. to Sectional Events Teams (SETs). We need to start looking outside the box for Leaders who would relish getting involved in organising such activities. I'm sure that there are a few of these Leaders in various Districts who just don't get asked. These would become our SETs.
I appreciate that we already have a CAT (County Activities Team) which deals with wonderful activities that revolve around rock-climbing, abseiling, BMX Biking, Mouintain Biking as well as numerous Water Actvities, but their role is not to arrange such things as a County Camp for Scouts or Explorer Scouts, PL Training, etc. Network already has an events team which work on organising their X-treme Camp. We already have a events team for the County Flag Competition.
So I am looking for nominations for an Explorer Scout SETs team. Please pass this onto all of your Explorer Scout Leaders within your district so they can put themselves forward. This will be an ad hoc role, just meeting to organise events for the betterment of Explorer Scouts in Nottinghamshire.
