Apex Extreme - October 2010

Explorers at Nottingham Marathon - Sept 2010
This year's Nottingham Robin Hood Marathon was the biggest ever and Explorers from Central Notts were out in force helping at the finishing point. 23 Explorers and leaders from the Equinox, Gemini and Invictus units from Carlton, Gedling and Southwell manned the Goody Bag Station stocked with 12,000 Goody Bags.
These were handed out to the weary runners after they had collected their medals together with applause, encouraging words and sometimes help in opening their drinks bottles!

Gemini ESU Summer 2010
At the end of the holidays, Gemini Explorers joined forces with 88th Nottingham (Jesse Boot) Scouts for an action packed Snowdonia Experience.
Portuguese Explorers visit - August 2010
A group of 11 Portuguese Explorers ("Pioneiros") and 3 Leaders visited the UK. They came to Nottingham on Weds 4th Aug and stayed in Beeston/Stapleford for a few days while they visited Alton Towers,
spent the might on baton Island, cooked their hosts a traditional Portuguese meal and saw some of Nottinghamshire's sights and even sang at Mass on Sunday morning before leaving on 8th Aug.

Congratulations to Stuart Kemp - an ASL and Network member - who is part of a team called the Butterflyers that have won the Ones to Watch Award at the 2010 BAFTA Video Games Awards AND the New Talent Award at the Scottish BAFTAs!
